CBD American Shaman Lab Tests Confirm Terpene Rich Products

It’s one thing for CBD American Shaman to tell you that our product is excellent, but it’s another thing to have the test results to prove it. We recently received the final independent report of an in-depth test done on one of our products, and we were exceptionally pleased with the results.

In case you were interested in what’s really behind our labels, we’ll give you the breakdown on the basics in this article before tackling which terpenes were found and their concentration. (It’s the terpenes that give CBD oil its magical properties, so we want to give it its due.) Without giving you a full chemistry lesson, see how our product fared.

Before we get started, you should know that all tests were performed in compliance with ISO/IEC 17025. That code refers to the standards for testing and calibration for labs in the US (and throughout the world.) Values were calculated by heating the tincture and then weighing the loss of the acids after carbon dioxide was formed. (Or decarboxylation if you happen to be in the biz.)

Weights and Measurements - CBD Testing Results

One of the very first things on the report tells the weight of the CBD as opposed to any other compound in the bottle. Unsurprisingly, the results reported the vast amount of the tincture was indeed CBD. With the lack of regulation surrounding CBD, these findings are not always a given.

The amount of THC was .03% by weight, which is within the limits for proper CBD labeling. In other words, the tiny percentage of THC won’t be enough to get the user high, nor have any other noticeable effects on the human body.

When it comes to CBD oil, heavy metal doesn’t exactly mean hair bands and guitar solos. Heavy metals during testing refer to Arsenic, Cadmium, Mercury, and Lead, or you know, the stuff you’d prefer to keep out of your body. And thankfully, our Cloud Tincture manages to do just that.

In all four categories, our product passed with flying colors. We want our customers to feel completely confident when it comes to ingesting any of our products. And not to brag or anything, but we managed to score well when it came to keeping all contaminants out of our product (e.g., bacteria, mold, etc.) The mycotoxins (a particularly noxious form of fungi) in the tincture, were practically nonexistent.

Just looking at the list of pesticides our product was tested for would make your head spin. It’s practically an attack of giant, scientific words that no one without an advanced understanding of chemicals could understand. The end results show that our product is grown in unadulterated territory.

It’s allowed to flourish as plants have flourished for many millennia — without the use products grown in a lab to kill off a natural part of our ecosystem. The dangers of pesticides certainly vary depending on who you ask, but they do appear to be at least correlated with issues like infertility, skin disorders, cancer, birth defects, and dementia (just to name a few.)  

When it comes to CBD, there’s a lot of chatter about quality and authenticity. Without any kind of real regulation placed on the product, there are plenty of ‘companies’ out there trying to exploit the popularity of the product. CBD American Shaman is aware of what’s happening in wider world of CBD, but we can only do so much to stop what others do. The best thing we can do is to keep growing, testing, and distributing a product that can actually deliver relief. So, we seem to be hitting our goals (and thankfully, you have someone else’s word to prove it.)
